Control introduction sequence
During the introduction sequence with the girl walking down the street during a race, press L1 + R1 to cycle through three different effects for the portion that uses the in-game graphics. Press R1 for black and white graphics. Press R1 a second time and the graphics will have a yellow tint. Press R1 a third time to add blur effect, which will eliminate jagged graphics. Press L1 to cycle back through the various effects.

Evolving Memory Card Icon
When you start your game you'll notice that your Memory Card Icon is of a car. Once you've beaten and unlock everything the icon will evolve into Ai Fukami.

Familiar Names To Beat
Go to the Highscore screen and notice the names holding some of the top positions. You may recognize some names from some other Namco Games such as Ace Combat 3: Electro sphere, Names like Rena, Fiona, Dision

It's not really a cheat or a code, but it's kind of neat

Control introduction sequence
During the introduction sequence, repeatedly press L1 to toggle various visual effects.

Third person view onscreen display
While racing in the third person perspective, hold Select to display onscreen information that includes the amount of pressure being used on various controller buttons.

Bonus cars
Successfully complete each of the Grand Prix circuits to unlock new cars. Breaking the Time Attack high scores also unlocks additional cars.

Duel mode
Finish in first place in lap and overall time in the Standard Time Attack GP.

50's Super Drift Caddy
Finish in first place in the Denver Spectra race in duel mode to unlock the 50's Super Drift Caddy car in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

Devil Drift
Finish in first place in the Rivelta Crinale race in duel mode to unlock the Devil Drift car in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

VW Beetle
Finish in first place in the Solort Rumeur race in duel mode to unlock the new style VW Beetle car (with super grip handling) in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

McLaren F1 clone
Finish in first place in the Kamata Angelus race in duel mode to unlock the McLaren F1 clone in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

99 Trial Challenge
Race 500 miles to unlock the grueling 99 Trial Challenge. In this new challenge you will have to race 99 laps around Sunny Beach. Keep your calm and stay consistent and you should have little trouble with this race.

99 lap mode
Set the top score in each race of the Time Attack GP in Extra Mode, finishing in first place.

Pac-Man mode
Exceed 3,000 kilometers in total distance raced to unlock a red roadster with a Pac-Man driver. Ghosts on scooters will race against the Pac-Man car.

Alternate saved game icon
Successfully complete the game with all secrets unlocked to change the saved game icon from a car to a programmer face

Unlock Hidden Cars
To unlock these hidden cars you will have to already have the duel mode.  If you already have that then go to the EXTRA Time Trails and then look at the records and you will see that not all of them will have NAMCO as the #1 record holder and all the ones that don't have that they will have a different name some of them are Pluto, Angel, Devil, and there's one more car but I forgot the name.  After you see those records go and race those time trials and get first in both Lap Time and Total Time it doesn't have to be in the same run.  After you do that go to the Duel race and you will see that there are four names and you will have to beat them to unlock a new car, also there will be a Battle Royal after you beat all four of them.

Quick start
When in time attack mode, hold R2 + L2 at the start to get a speed boost from the instant light turns green.

Maximum mode
Finish the game in Grand Prix mode under hard difficulty setting to unlock Maximum race in Grand Prix. 

Game Hints
Manual transmission (MT) is always better option, as it offers superior control and acceleration than Automatic transmission  cars.
Hold L2 & L2 before start in Time Attack to get Super-Turbo start at instant of second set of Red Lights is illuminated.
Pressing the Select button during demonstration and replay scenes advances to next scenario race. Hit L1 or R1 to steer the front wheels in Select screen.

Big Ben
To get Big Ben the Simi, at the title screen press: left,up,L2,R2,down,down,up

Unlock MAXIMUM GP
Finish GP mode in hard mode and you unlock the maximum challenge... The maximum GP is hard to finish, but possible with no mistake.

Extra stuff
Extra classes
To To get Extra class in Time Attack all is you have to do is complete the extra class GP`s.

Pac Man Engine and Car
Just race over 3,000km and you will unlock the car and engine.

Get Extra cars
To get the 4 scooters and engines win the Pac-man GP.
