I could use some cheat's on ths game.

I just need some help with the "Whale" in the River World, I just cannot
kill him. And in the Volcano world, how on earth are you supposed to get
past the Birds at the switchbacks area? I die every dang time I get to
that point. I am very new to video games so it may be easy to others, but
it is not easy to me.
