Get S-RANKING on all 18 mission on normal mode

New aircraft paint
On normal level and above, shoot down aircraft with that aircraft's pilot's name on it. On radar it will show up as red symbol and it is harder to shoot down. Should appear away from the main combat zone.

All aircraft
Use the following steps to unlock all aircraft, including special colors. First, acquire an aircraft by destroying it in battle. You can acquire three different paint schemes for each aircraft. Two of the paint schemes can be acquired by destroying that color aircraft in battle. To acquire the special brightly colored third aircraft, you must find and kill the pilot flying it. On each level of the game there is a single hidden aircraft (eighteen total hidden aircraft). Each one of these aircraft has a specific pilot. When you see the aircraft in front of you and lock on, it will display the pilot's name next to the aircraft name and lock on square. For example, "S-37A SMIRNOVA". The hidden aircraft will not show up on radar until you get nearby. On radar, the aircraft will be marked with a red triangle instead of yellow. Each hidden aircraft is always in the same place on their specific level. This is always in an empty spot on the map away from the main combat zone. The aircraft can usually be found directly behind the main combat zone. Last but not least are the three remaining aircraft. To acquire the Yellow Squadron fighter (SU-37) of your nemesis Yellow-13, you must kill all of the pilots with names flying the special colored aircraft (eighteen total). The method used to unlock the F-4E with tiger stripes is unknown at this time. To unlock the X-02 Stealth, get an "S" rank on all 18 missions on normal mode.

Extra points
How to get an extra 200 points in level 8! To get these points you must have at least two missiles and a fairly fast airplane. During your mission breif when your in the cockpit you should see a small arrow in the top right hand corner of your screen. As soon as you gain control of your aircraft accelerate as fast as you can and follow the arrow. ( It may disappear but continue to fly in that direction). On your radar in will be a fast moving dot heading toward the incoming "Yellows." If you shoot it down you will get 200 points for it. It is called something like an "SR-71" but im not sure what it is.

How to beat Megalith (last level)
Engage the fighters if you want but I fly high (20,000+feet) so they don't engage me anyways when you get to megalith you can fly north and destroy the levels ace if you're normal difficulty or higher, when you're in front of megalith descend like you would if there was a Stonehenge attack fly into the left tunnel don't crash but look to your left and after a little bit and the tunnel will split into two tunnels follow the left tunnel and you'll get a lock on a generator the end of the tunnel is small so you have to be good to get out after that go in front of megalith again and take the right tunnel. this one's pretty easy disclosing the fact that your flying below 100feet after a while the tunnel will rise BE SURE THE TUNNEL RISES BEFORE YOU DO OR YOU WILL SMASH INTO THE CEILING!!!!!!!! the generator is right in front of you so blow it up.  once you get out turn left and fly until the little green lines that mark megalith entrance paths disappear. then turn left 180 degrees when they appear fly on the entrance path you will see a valley below you fly into it the generator will be in front of you on the left. blow it up fly out of the valley once you've destroyed the 3rd generator the ground people will open one door fly in front of mega lith and head for the middle. there will be one tunnel fly into it and there will be a giant missile when you enter the room doors above the missile will slowly open destroy the missile and fly out of the opening doors, if you make it there will be a special cut scene and you will unlock 3 new multiplayer levels an a screen where you can play songs from the game and where you can watch the cartoon cut scenes and some other options on the main menu.

How to beat first level
At the beginning you are behind a group of aircrafts.  Do not shoot them it is a waste of bullets.  Let them be they will soon be out of site.  You will have to move (never put it on auto pilot you will go in the same way as you started.)  Just find the other air crafts do not use bullets just your missiles (you have practically unlimited bullets are not.) If you run out of missiles it's ok just get more by using auto pilot you will get to an air craft career.  Fly to it and land you will get to fly off you will have almost unlimited missile and bullets.  Take off and beat the mission

Best way to shoot down Yellow squadron
In most levels there is yellow squadron engagements. The best way to shoot one down is to get right on it's tail about 200ft.or less away from it. Then either use your guns to damage it a little first and then shoot 2-4 missiles at it or jut shoot it with he missiles. The key is to wait till it is moving in forward motion though not when it is doing loops or becoming inverted. The best plains to use for these missions are the SU-37, F-14, F-22, or S-37 and the most advanced missiles for each.

How to get an extra 200 points on level 16
WHEN you start this level you are heading towards the battle closest to the left boundary line. Also when you start you are in the first line of boxes going from left to right. Stay in that line of boxes and climb to an altitude of 20000 ft. Travel to the last box in the first row on the left and when you get a quarter of the way through you will see a dark orange dot or triangle appear at the boundary line. The name of the plane is SR-71 but in real life it is called the SR-71 BLACKBIRD. It is worth 200 points if you shoot it down.

Extra 440 points
On the mission where you shoot down missiles you can get 440 points.  First, you must be on at least normal mode.  Second, put your radar map on largest.  They will appear after a few seconds.  They are in the back.  Third, get those two.

Special F-5E Tiger II/Enemy's F-5
First mission. accelerate forwards on full afterburner, and fly 2 grid blocks beyond the airfeild.shoot1 missile head-on to kill the special. You've unlocked his air craft, and have made 2 additional F4s take off. You should get the bombers as their bombing or as they fly over Anderson crater. leave 1 bomber until you've shot down all 4 enemy fighters, then kill it. Yet another "S",& 3 extra fighters. Ill keep them coming...

F-22B(Special)
"breaking arrows"
Shoot Down 2 salvos of missiles, & then the 2 F-22A's. When the last missile comes, the special will guard the missile. When in missile range, break left& shoot him down. You'll get him with the first 2 missiles you shoot at him. Then shoot down the missile. You'll have an "A" unless you shoot down a XB-20 at the top of the map. Then you'll have "S" & 2 BONUS F-22s

Plane
Your on the mission where you liberate the city ("Emancipation"). in between Old Towne, New City, and the airport there is a single unoccupied block. Make a pass over new city, then turn for that block. Fighters & AAA have popped up in that block. Turn on your radar & lock on to each target & look at it. One of the special planes is there. If your quick, you can then complete the mission with # bagged Yellows, A special EF2000, & About 9500 points. That's $500,000 & an "S" rating.

To beat level 6
To beat level 6 you must go directly to the power plant with out involvement with other plains) and don't destroy anything except 4 the things that have a red "tgt" over it. go strait to the back first and destroy the two in the back first then do the one you saw first near the crevice. that way when the mission update comes to fly in the crevices you will make it two them faster.

Unlock Second Plane Colors:
Beat each mission in normal difficulty with an S-rank to unlock the secondary color for each fighter. By shooting down the aces you get the 3rd. You don't need to pass the trial missions for the 2nd colors.

Different Colors-Ace Locations:
To unlock the different colors for the planes there is an ace placed in each mission that you must find and shoot down. Here are the planes and locations for each mission.

1. F-5 just north of the allied airbase
2. A-10 north of the enemy airbase
3. F-16 South of the second radar station (the westernmost one)
4. Mirage 2000 Northwest of the westernmost radar jamming plane
5. MIG-29 South of the far western pumping station on the map
6. F-14 North of the northernmost group of enemies on the map
7. TND-IDS North of the solar tower
8. F-18 after refueling during the mission the ace will appear to the east of the main combat area
9. F-15C North of the center beach combat area
10. RF-01 Far upper northwest corner of the map, northwest of the sub base
11. SU-35 The ace will appear with about 90 seconds left during this mission
12. F-2 North of the Stonehenge gun base
13. F-15E After clearing the radar balloons, enemy fighters will appear, the ace is in the north east
14. F-22 Ace is in the north east of the map
15. EF-2000 Ace will be in the center of the map when the mission starts (between the two southern combat zones)
16. F-117 Ace is located northwest of the westernmost combat zone (Due to stealth sometimes hard to find, head 2 grids north and 1 west)
17. F-15A Ace is located in the far northwestern corner of the map, past the city
18. S-37 The ace is located north of megalith.

The F-4 is available after completing hard mode, the X-2 is available after completing expert mode.
The aces are sometimes hard to see on the radar since you need to be close for it to show up. When you do find them they will be red on the radar instead of the usual enemy fighter colors of yellow or orange.

Secret Options:
You can get secret modes by beating the game. Beat the game in any difficulty to acquire Special Continue, Trial missions, FMV sequences, 36 music's from the game, and be able to change the color of your aircraft.

Hidden Items:
Beat the game on normal and get an S rank for every mission to unlock all the aircraft, including the X-02 Multirole fighter.

Beat the Trial Missions with all S ratings in order to unlock one of each aircrafts' two alternate color schemes. Only the X-02 does not apply.

Each aircraft has a third color scheme as well, but these are harder to get. You have to beat the enemy 'Aces' that are hidden throughout the missions. There is at least one Ace per mission. They're hard to locate and don't show up on radar until you get close, so it's best to use the Free Mission option to hunt them down. Once you kill an Ace you only need to beat the mission beat. When you check the shop you will see that the type of aircraft the ace was flying (ie. F-5, Su-35, etc.) will have a third color scheme unlocked, matching the Ace's.

Ace Difficulty:
If you beat Expert, you will be awarded the Ace Difficulty, If you miss any missions without getting S ranking, You won't have the X-02 for this setting

Orbital satellite laser (OSL)
This super-powered weapon is very difficult to get. You must get to an altitude of 55,000 feet (possible only with the X-02) during a flight in free flight mode. In the northeastern part of any map is a single satellite. When you target it, it shows up as "Unknown Target" located at about 55,000 feet. Shoot it down, even during free flight mode, the "Mission Complete" message will appear. The following aircraft will now carry the OSL: Su-35, F-2A, EF-2000, MIG-29A, F-15C, F-14A, MIR-2000, F-16C, F-5E, F-4E, S-37A, X-02. This weapon can shoot through bunkers (including Megalith), has a 2,000 foot range, hits air and ground targets, never misses and always kills in a single blast. Its only setback is that it only has a small supply of five blasts before you need to return to base. Submitted by Master Midget

Easier X-02
After beating the game on any difficulty level, go to the free mission mode (normal diff.). you can play any mission that you didn't get an S ranking on (again, make sure you chose normal diff. or you won't get the X-02)and even if you don't get an S then, you can go back and play that same level until you get the S. Max score
In any level, destroy the orange red enemies first, then then yellow. Submitted by mobious87
