X-Men vs. Street Fighter

Play as Akuma:
At character selection screen highlight either Magneto, Juggernaut, Dhalsim or M.bison and press Up and Akuma will appear.

Play as Apocalypse:
Beat the game on a difficulty setting of 5 or higher without continuing. Go to Battle/V.S. mode and highlight Akuma. Hold Select for 5 seconds, then press any button without releasing Select.

Apocalypse's moves:
Forward Dash -   Forward+All three punches
Hand Smash -     DB+P
Back Dash -        Back+All three punches
Drill -                  QCF+Fierce P
PowerWave -      F,DF,D+P
Fireball -              QCF+K

Play as Chun-Li (Street Fighter 2):
Highlight Chun-Li at the character selection screen press and hold SELECT for 5 seconds and press any button to play as Chun-Li with the outfit from Street Fighter 2.

Extra Options:
At the Main Menu (where you choose Arcade Mode, Vs, etc.), quickly press: Triangle, Triangle, Left, Circle, L1. If done correctly an option screen will appear. From here you can change to Original mode, which enables tagging in VS. Mode only. You can also set your Power Meter to always be charged.

If the above code doesn't work for you, try Triangle, Triangle, Right, and L1 (works on some versions of the game).

Tag Team in Vs. Mode (American)
To enable tagging, go to the mode selection screen (where you choose Arcade Mode, Vs. etc.) and VERY QUICKLY press TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, RIGHT, CIRCLE, L1. If done correctly the option screen will appear.

From here you can change to "Original" mode to enable tagging in Vs. mode. Next, choose your characters and have your friend choose the same characters in reverse. For example, if you choose Ken then Ryu your opponent must choose Ryu and then Ken.

Tag Team in Vs. Mode (Japanese)
To enable tagging, go to the mode selection screen (where you choose Arcade Mode, Vs. etc.) and QUICKLY press Square, Square, Right, X, L1. If done correct the option screen will appear.

From here you can change to original mode to enable tagging in Vs. Mode. Next, choose your characters and have your friend choose the same characters in reverse. For example, if you choose Ken then Ryu your opponent must choose Ryu and then Ken.

A Key to Software Localization
Depending upon whether the title was produced for the domestic (Japanese) market or a foreign one, some characters assume different names.

EX Option Menu – American Version
The EX Options menu, allows players adjust the style of play from Arcade to EX. To activate the EX Options, press Triangle (2), Right, Circle, L1 at the main menu.

To activate the EX Options menu, press Square (2), Right, X, L1 at the main menu.

Easy Way to Beat Apocalypse
The best person to beat Apocalypse is to Storm and Magneto, Chun-Li and Cyclops. Whenever you begin to fight with Chun-Li and Cyclops super jump and lighting kick his hand then when your power gets up to three perform the team super move. Do the same thing with Storm but do the Double Typhoon until it gets to level three then the team super move

Fight as Chun Li (Street Fighter II version)
To play as the classic version of Chun Li, highlight her on the character selection screen. Then hold Select and press any punch button.

Fill Your Superbar
To get a full superbar put in the EX options code and you'll see a menu and on the bottom it says hyper special combo gauge and beside it will say normal and full put it on full and the bar will always go to three levels.

Gambit's Monstrous Combo
To get a huge combo with Gambit, you must first have your super bar at level 3, and of course be playing as Gambit. Then, do Gambit's Royal Flush super. If it connects, cancel it after at least the 33rd hit while the super is still going on with a second Royal Flush. Then, when the combo counter reads at least 62, cancel the second Royal Flush while it is still going on with a third Royal Flush. You will have 99+ hits! (Although the combo counter stops at 99.) Note that this will work only if the opponent is standing on the ground. If he/she is slightly in the air, the cards Gambit throws will not hit the opponent as much times.

Hidden Characters
Go to ryu hold select for 22 seconds, then you'll hear a bell. When its done save and reset the game and you'll have Super Storm and Ballrog

Kick Him While He's Down
After winning a round, press START and you'll be able to kick or taunt your defeated opponent.

To randomly select a character, highlight the left-most fighter at the character selection screen and hold d-pad Left while selecting them. (Alternately, highlight the right-most fighter and hold d-pad Right.)

Software reset
To reset the game, push L1 + R1 + Select + Star

Random Character Selection
