To enable the following cheats, keep L1 + L2+ selected
pressed down anywhere in the menu or at the pre-game menus.
Piranha Ship: X, X, X, X, O, T, and S. Phantom Class: T, T, T, O, O, And O. Track Cheat: S, O, T, O, And S. (Enables you to race all tracks on easy level).
Funky
Vehicles
Press and hold L1, L2.
start and select, and turn on the Playstation. Hold the buttons until the
WipeoutXL copyright screen. The moment the copyright screen appears, release the
buttons. When the game starts, all the ships will be replaced by funky characters
. If you use this cheat for the Piranha ship (above) with this code, you race as
a shark
Animal Teams
To
access the animal teams ( bees, snails, etc. ) hold L!+ R2 +Start + Select
while the game is loading. When the title screen appears, take your finger off
the start button and then press and hold start again with the rest of the
buttons while the loading screens are on. Once the main menu appears, you will
be rewarded with animal vehicles that have replaced the regular teams. Choose
your new ship as well as the other options and begin to race.

Turbo
Start
Turbo start is achieved by
having the red rev bar on the second line from the end when the announcer says
"GO". The best way is to press accelerate as the orange light comes
on (slightly different depending on the vehicle) or about the same time
the announcer says "ONE". You can even release the accelerator for a
short second and press it again if the rev bar gets over the "Turbo
Point" before the announcer gets to say "ONE".
Transformation
This
cheat transforms all crafts into cute animals like snails, pigs, bees, sharks,
etc. Some are even animated. Press and hold L1 + R2 + SELECT + START while
loading the game and don't release them until you see the menu screen and the
game is loaded completely.
Everything
code
This code will give you
everything: Phantom Racing Class, the extra Piranha Craft, and the two hidden
tracks, Vostok Island and Spilskinankle. Simply press S, O, S, T, O, T, X, T, O,
O, T, X, X, and S. or S, O, S, T, O, T, X, S, X, X, S, O, T, and S.
Infinite
Shields
This cheat prevents you
from blowing up when your shields run out. To access this cheat, pause the
game during a race, then press and hold L1, R1, and SELECT. While
holding these buttons press, T, X, S, O, T, X, S, and O. Un pause the game
and your shields never run out.
Hardware
Slowdown
This trick will make
WipeoutXL a lot easier. After a race is loaded and you're zooming to your car,
push the open button on your PSX. The code was written in a way that the error
generated when the game is searching for the CD slows the overall system down .
Don't forget to close the cover at the end of the race.
Easy
Win
At the beginning of the
race, before you cross the star line, turn around and shoot your opponents until
you the only one left. you can now come in first place every time.
Eight
tracks
For access to all eight
tracks hold L1 + R1 + SELECT at the main menu. With these buttons held,
press S, O, T, O, AND S.
