Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Note: This game is also titled Bio Hazard 3: Last Escape.

Additional Costumes
After the Boutique Key has been acquired, five new outfits may be earned by finishing the game at Hard difficulty. (The costumes are: Police Uniform, Dino Crisis suit, Disco Outfit, Biker Uniform and STARS outfit) Your final grade determines how many new outfits you get from the boutique.

Computer Password
When the captain of the Umbrella rescue team shoots one of his team members go over to the computer on the desk. It will ask for a password. ADRAVIL, AQUACURE or SAFSPRIN, is the password. This will open up the door.

Mercenaries 2nd form quick kill
Description: play as mikhial out sie the parking lot where the pile up is were nemesis 2nd form jumps down use the rocket launcher he'll bend over when he's about to attack you fire it again.. DEAD IN 2 ROUNDS. Submitted by Nemesis' Aid

Jill's diary
To get Jill's Diary (a file), collect all thirty files in the game in order. Then the first file (Instructions Manual, blue) will become Jill's Diary.

Barry Burton ending:
The only way to see Barry is if ending B is unlocked. To get this ending the following two points must be done:

The Trolley: Jump out the window:
Fighting Nemesis Type B on the bridge: Jump off.
After the jump off decision, the final area of the game will take a somewhat different path. You will have to fight off Nicholai in a chopper. It is recommended that you bring a Magnum and Grenade Launcher (or Rocket Launcher if it has been found). You can also choose to negotiate with him.

Enhanced Weapons/Ammo:
When creating ammo with the reloading tool, save enough gunpowder to mix up the same type of ammo eight times. On the eighth time, the game will prompt "Do you want to create the enhanced ammo?". Select "Yes". This ammo is more powerful, may have slightly different effects, and once loaded into a weapon will change it into an "enhanced weapon". Once you have loaded a weapon with enhanced ammo, do not reload it with regular ammo. You can only create two types of enhanced ammo: 9mm handgun bullets and shot gun shells. Also, do not combine enhanced ammo with regular ammo.

Make your own shotgun:
In order to make a shotgun you must have gunpowder BBB, grenade rounds, and the mixing tool. Mix gunpowder BBB with the grenade rounds to make shotgun parts. Next, mix the shotgun parts with the mixing tool to make the shotgun.

The three jewels in the clock tower:
When you enter the room in the clock tower with the three statues holding trays, take the obsidian, crystal, and amber jewels from them. There are three clocks on the wall besides the two dead bodies. Going from left to right, place the amber jewel in the first tray, the obsidian jewel in the middle tray, and the crystal jewel in the third tray. The middle clock will open and you will get a gold gear. Combine it with the silver gear and place it in the slot on the third floor.

Easiest way to get all epilogues:
First complete the game as quickly as possible don't fight the nemesis just RUN for the exit once you have completed it you will get an epilogue two or three costume and more importantly the mercenaries game then use Mikhail to get unlimited ammo assault rifle and the rocket launcher. now have some fun and just work your way through with that lot you can kill the nemesis in two hits (anyone of his mutations apart from the last one) then it will take time but it will be extremely easy.

Get Jill's Bonus Diary
To get Jill's diary, you must collect all the files in order, semi-hard, but its worth it!

Get Mercenary Mode
All you have to do is beat the game once and you'll get mercenary mode.

Inf Ammo All Weapons
There are two ways to get it as far as I know. 1. beat the game on hard to get the mercenary game, then complete that enough times to make enough money (your a mercenary, think about it) to buy it
2. I'm not sure you have to, but I beat the game once through before I did this, when you are at the clock tower, just after Jill is revived from the virus, fight Nemesis and kill him. He should drop an item. It should be an Inf Ammo Case. Finish the game and load the save. You should have infinite ammo. I haven't seen if it worked yet, but try it.

Explosive stuff
During the game you will see sticks of dynamite strapped to the walls, or oil drums lying around.  Usually there are a lot of monsters by them.  When you see them, press L2 and X and it will aim to the objects and blow it and all of the monsters around it into bits.  Just don't get too close to the explosive, or you will blow up.

Explosive Shotgun Shells
If you mix eight gunpowder B's, shotgun rounds, you will have enough experience to create the explosive shotgun shells. Which is one of the best ammo's you can get.

Boutique Key
Beat the game once on either difficulty and after the credits, you will get a key for the boutique in the first street in the beginning of the game.  When you go inside you can change your clothes to Regina's from Dino Crisis, or Jill's blue clothes from the first game.

Missing Characters
After you beat the game the first time play it 8 more times and each time you will discover what happened to Leon, Claire, Ada, Sherry, Hunk and everyone else in RE2.

Saving Ammo
In the beginning Brad will get attack by a zombie in the BAR. He will throw him and the zombie will come back at him. Jill will run over, You will take control. DON'T help Brad kill the zombie. You will save 5 to 7 shots if you don't shoot. That is where you save ammo.

Special Ranks
There are two type of ranks 1 you know as the "A" rank and the other known as the "S" here are ways to get the "S" and "A" ranks.

How to get the "S" rank
1- Don't use any Aid sprays
2- Use only herbs
3- Finish the game before 2 hours
4- Save only 3 times

How to get the "A" rank
1- Don't use any Aid sprays

3- Finish the game before 2 and half hours
4- Save only 6 times

*If you want to get power up handgun bullets or shotgun shells, use a gunpowder A/B with Upload Tool over 7 times. Every time you mix the gunpowder's with upload tool, it will raise gunpowder mixing level. If level is high, you will get more ammo.

Safe combo
The number for the locked safe in the RPD station is 0153

Police Locker Combination
In the police station after killing the zombies you will be prompted for a locker combination. The combination is 0131

Defeating Final Nemesis
When confronting the final boss, (Nemesis' final transformation) make him retreat into the corner from where he came from by your rocket launcher, and grenades, then you have to get the cannon online by PUSHING IN the three power sources, marked 1,2,3. When that is done, fire the cannon to dispose of the debris, then it will automatically fire again, at Nemesis. You then have the choice to finish him off yourself (this is an FMV!) or just running. I recommend you finish him with the FMV, because this unlocks more secrets in the end

General Nemesis Tips
If you take on Nemesis the best strategy is to run by his right side. He is a lefty so he will always try to grab or pummel you into submission with his left hand. Once you're a little ways behind him (make sure it's not too far otherwise he will run at you, then your in trouble) take a shot and run by him again. Keep doing this until he falls over. He will get back up so continue until you see the purple blood from his body. If your playing HARD mode make sure you pick up the item

Get the Grenade Launcher in the Police station
If you go into the save room before you go to the police station and mix the A and B gunpowder on the shelf to make C and then mix it with the gunpowder A that you got at the warehouse and then combine it with your reloading tool to make grenade flame rounds you will always get the grenade launcher in the S.T.A.R.S. room.

Infinite Money Trick
Use this method to get all the infinite-ammo weapons and infinite weapons pack. In the mercenary mode go to the area with the dumpster and the hop scotch paintings (the one right behind the bar.) Go up the steps and take a right. You will then go north until you get to the fork. Go through the door and you will be in the dead-end alley that is boarded up by red and white boards. This can be done with all 3 mercenaries. There are three dogs here. First kill 2 dogs immediately. Then lure the remaining dog to where the boards are stacked up. Climb up onto the boards. Go to the opposite end and watch as the dog makes attempts to jump at you. Take a small step forward and press R1 right before he jumps. Your character will jump backwards and get a dodge bonus. Immediately after the character dodges, press R1 again to pick up a combo for your dodge bonus. Repeat this process to rack up tons of money and time. It takes time, but it is sure worth it.

Max grenade launcher ammo glitch
With this code you can put more than 6 rounds into your grenade launcher at once. If you have 6 fire rounds in your grenade launcher, and you have 138 regular rounds in your item box, combine the ammo onto the grenade launcher with the fire ammo in it (it works with any ammo as long as the two are different) and the 6 fire ammo should be in your item box and the 138 in your gun! No reloading.

Get the Epilogues
To get the epilogues without getting Rank A. You just have to get a rank higher than f.

Extra Points in Mercenary Mode
In the Mercenaries game, once you reach the small area with the three zombie-dogs with the small crate-like box, kill two of the dogs, and lure one to you and climb on the crate. Once it jumps press the R button and dodge. Every time you dodge it you will earn 3 extra seconds! Repeat it over and over to get a great time!

When Dodging Fails
Sometimes, dodging Nemesis doesn't always work right. Here is a different strategy that will always work. When Nemesis is coming towards you, shoot him until he is almost right next to you. When he is getting ready to attack, run in a different direction and he will fail to harm you. Repeat this again and again and he will never be able to grab you by the neck again!

No Hassle with the Grave Digger
When Jill first comes across the Grave Digger, you don't even need to fight it. Just quickly turn power to both of those switches, and access the ladder. Then you don't need to waste time with it.

Epilogues
Successfully complete the game on the hard difficulty setting to unlock an Epilogue. Epilogues are a short diary description of each character in the entire Resident Evil series which describes what happened with that specific person after their adventure. Successfully complete the game on the hard difficulty setting eight times to unlock all Epilogues. All eight Epilogues read as followed:

Jill Valentine After escaping the city, Jill set out to join Chris Redfield. However, all she found was an empty hideout of Chris's. On the floor was Chris's knife. Jill left without hesitation because she firmly believes that Chris is still alive. She will search for him until she finds him. Then they can go and put an end to Umbrella...

Chris Redfield "Please forgive me Claire." Chris Redfield has just finished this letter with his signature phrase. As he removes his sunglasses, a lady walks by him with light steps. "She looks about the same age as Claire," he thinks. A short time later, Chris discovered that his sister was looking for him, but was caught...

Barry Burton Barry Burton looks at his young daughters and says, "I'm sorry but my comrades are waiting for me." He knows that he must repay his teammates for forgiving his betrayal. Even if that means leaving his family for now. His wife tries to hide her fear, so she smiles and says, "Don't worry. We'll be OK..."

Leon Kennedy Leon Scott Kennedy is confronted by a man who claims to be a U.S. government agent. Leon says, "Leave Sherry alone. She is innocent." "She knows too much," the man replies. He looks at Leon and says, "But you have value. This is a good deal. Make your choice." Without regret or hesitation, Leon closes his eyes and then sharply responds...

Claire Redfield "Leave us alone." Claire Redfield couldn't believe Leon's words. Leon continued, "You're looking for your brother, right? Just go!" Claire knew that Leon and Sherry needed immediate medical attention, but she could not waste anymore time. "I... I'll be back. I promise!" She said as she disappeared into the wilderness alone...

Sherry Birkin "Do you have any relatives?" When the army officer asked her, Sherry Birkin did not respond for she has no immediate relatives. Her father and mother died because of the G-virus. And so, this little girl holds herself with her arms and bites her lip tight. She thinks, "I'm sure she will come back. She won't forget about me..."

Ada Wong A woman looks at herself in the mirror. She used to be called Ada Wong... But this morning she will say good-bye to the name. "I'm not Ada Wong anymore..." She feels her ab and thinks, "This is Ada's scar, not mine." And as she says good-bye to Ada Wong, she can't stop her tears. However, there isn't much time left before her next mission...

Hunk, the 4th Survivor "Once again, only you survived, Mr. Death," the chopper pilot speaks with a cold bitterness. "Always, only you, survive, Mr. Death," the pilot continues. But Hunk does not respond to the pilot. He doesn't care. "The Death cannot die...," the survivor thinks to himself with a warm smile.

Secret costumes
Jill has a total of 5 costumes, 2 you can get on easy, and you can get all 5 on hard mode.

If you beat the game on easy, you get 2 bonus costumes for any rank, except F. After you beat the game, wait till the credits go by, you'll get a key to use at the boutique, that was locked earlier. In the boutique you get her original S.T.A.R.S. costume, and the Regina costume from Dino Crisis, complete with a wig.

On hard mode, you can get those, plus a miniskirt police type outfit, disco type outfit, and biker type outfit. To get all five you must beat the game with a rating of A, to get 4 you must beat it with a B rating and so on, C=3, D=2, E=1, F=0

Each time Nemesis is defeated, he will drop a special item.

Nothing is the same...
One of the coolest (or most frustrating) features of RE3 is that not everything remains the same each time you play it. The computer in the lobby of the Police Station generates a random four-digit password each day. Likewise, Gun Power is randomly placed.

The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal
To unlock “The Mercenaries” mini-game, complete the game at any difficulty.

How to Find the Survivors in Mercenary Mode
Possible locations:
-Jill in the press office
-Brad in the restaurant
-Fat man in the gas station
-cop in the electric plant
All of these survivors will give you an extra 20 seconds of time to get to the end

The object of the mini-game is to get from the Trolley to the starting point in Uptown within a limited amount of time. Additional time is awarded for killing monsters (and rescuing) people along the way.

Park fountain solution
When using the water control unit in Raccoon Park to drain the fountain, you will need to align the gray and black gears. The gears need to be moved in this order to correctly align them and drain the fountain. Move bottom left black gear Up. Move top center gray gear Down. Move top right gray gear to the Left. Move bottom right black gear Up. Move top center gray gear Down. Move top left black gear to the Right.

Water sample solution
When using the water sample machine in the abandoned Waste Processing Plant (Dead Factory), you will need to correctly align the three lines of the water sample to process the sample. The four possible solutions are A: 4 Right, B: 2 Right, C: 2 Left. A: 1 Right, B: 1 Right, C: 2 Left. A: 1 Left, B: 2 Left, C: 2 Right. A: 1 Right, B: 3 Right, C: 4 Left. This will unlock half of the lock to the door next to the elevator.

Change The Name Of The Keys
Whenever you collect a key, go to the Player Status screen and select the key you want to change the name of (i.e.. the Warehouse Key).  Then select "CHECK" and read the brief info about the key.  Now, backtrack to the Player Status screen and select the same key again.  When you highlight it, it's name will change into something new.  (Examples:  the Warehouse Key changes into the Back Door Key and the Park Key changes into the Main Gate Key).

Solve Clock Goddess Puzzle
(NOTE: there are about 3 ways to do this because it changes from time to time. This is only one method and it many not work all the time)
The object of the Clock Goddess Puzzle is to get the center clock in the Clock Tower to read twelve o’clock. Collect the Amber, Crystal and Obsidian gems from the statues and go to the three clocks on the opposite wall. Facing the clocks, place the Amber gem into the Past clock, the Obsidian into the Present clock, and the Crystal into the Future clock. If done correctly, the Present clock will open, revealing a Gold Gear, a Mercenary’s Pocketbook (next to the bodies in the corner) and M.T. rounds (in the alcove).

Mercenaries Game - Hints
In order to get more income when you arrive at the destination, you are required to save civilian including your members (Mikhail, Carlos, and Nicholai).

Extra Goodies
Beat resident evil 2.  use the memory card with RE2 data saved and start a game in resident evil 3.  You will then start out with an assault rifle instead of a handgun and you'll have some cool weapons in your chest when you get there.

Mercenaries : Time Bonuses
In the mercenaries game, you beat the monsters to get extra time. The BIG monsters give BIG time, as follows.
Nemesis (standard) - KO 10 seconds
Nemesis (standard) - Kill 20 seconds
Nemesis (mutated) - Kill 120 seconds (2 mins!)
The only place where I have found the mutant nemesis, is in the car park area outside the garage. It takes 5 rocket launcher shell as a minimum!!!

On the area where there are a lot of Zombies (the y-shaped alley) shoot the 1st zombie cop as you come through the door, then, peg it down the alley to lure the zombies to you. when they are quite close, press R2 (make sure you are 2 screens from the RED BARREL) and shoot. You can get a maximum of a 90 second bonus. COOL!

To get a better grade, and some extra ammo, rescue the people who are trapped in the mercenaries game. Try looking in the garage, the press office, the sub station, the medical store place (with the safsprin door!) and some other key places in the game.

1-Game Instruction File A - Received automatically at game start. Game Instructions A will change into Jill’s diary when you get all the files in the right order before you fight nemesis for the last time.

3-Postcard - Found on the counter in Brads Bar.
4-Photo A - Found, on the corpse, in the alley where you have to use the lighter to unlock the door.
5-Marvin Branagh Report - Found in the small office to the west of the R. P. D. building on the ground floor.
6-Davids Memo - Found in the only accessible RPD save-room leading to the Photo Development Room.
7-Fax - Found in the STARS room next to the fax machine.
8-Mercinaries Diary - Search the dead guy in the crank shaped alley (The alley coming from the RPD and going to the downtown area).
