Computer has no goalie
While playing against the computer anytime during the game pause and switch your
controller to the other teams in the "controllers" option. When you
are in control of the other team put pull the goalie. Unpause the game and pause
it again. switch your controller back to your original team. Unpause the game
and the computers goalie will leave the net.
Free player for your team
Turn on wavers. This will allow you to drop players from any one team and add
them to any other team.
Edit Other Teams Lines
While playing a game, go to "Controllers", switch to the other team.
After this, go to "Edit Lines". From there, you can re-arrange the
players in the different lines. You can also put the teams worst players in
every line. After this go back to "Controllers", switch back to your
team and resume playing the game.
The Dude player
Enter the create-a-player screen and enter "Bruce
Willis" as a name. The announcers will refer to the character
during the game as "The Dude".
Enter the create-a-player screen and enter "Hammer" as his first name. The announcers will refer to the character as "The Hammer" during the game
Super players
For super players just go to player management then create player and enter in a
name of a player that is rated 99. ie. Joe Sakic. It will then ask if you want
to use his ratings say yes. to work you have to go to his ratings first and put
them how you like them. Then you can go back and change his name. You have to be
careful because if you change something important like his playing type it will
reset his points. Also you can put in the name of one of the guys in the credits
and you will get their ratings but most are not very good.
Unlimited Goals
First, start up the game and go to any type of game (except for shootout).
Then, when you've started the hockey game, pause it, and go down to the
"controllers" option. Move your controller to the opposing team,
and then go up to "Goalies", and toggle to "Pull".
Then unpause the game, wait for about 5 seconds, and then pause the game again,
go down to "controllers", and switch your controller back to your
team, and continue. After that, the opponent's net will be empty for the
rest of the game and you will be able to score as much as you want
5 minute power play
If you get in a fight don't fight back and the other guy will get a full 5 minute
major. The power play stays for the whole 5 minutes
First, get into a fight, but do not punch the other player at all. Just stand there and let the other player punch your player. To force the other player to fight back, pause the game and switch controllers to the other team. If your player loses the fight, he will get a two minute minor for roughing and the other player will get a five minute major for fighting. After your player serves his two minutes in the penalty box, you will have a three minute power-play. If your team scores on that power-play, the player will still stay in the penalty box because he is serving a major.
Taunt the other team
After scoring a goal or having a fight press and/or hold the triangle button and
you will hear laughing, jeering, or comments from the crowd.
Announcer says names for
created players
If you use a name that is fairly common, for example, Andy, then the announcers
in the game will say "Andy, picks up the puck..." or "Andy
Scores!" when you make a play or score a goal. They actually use your name.
EA Sports Team
To get the "EA Sports" team start an exhibition game and press L2 and
R2 repeatedly. (This code only works in exhibition)
Get # 99 in custom
If you put Wayne Gretzky's name in create a player the #99 will appear
Pre-made players
Type in the name of one of the programmers like Chris Deas and the player will
be made already!
Extra Custom Teams
At title screen press and hold L2,R2,then PRESS right left square up circle x
then down. then go to custom teams and there will be Hartford whalers and the Winnipeg
jets.

Unlimited Timeouts
When you play a game and the whistle blows hit Start and go to strategies and
click on timeout. After that don't hit Up or Down. Hit Triangle, go back in it
again and don't hit Up or Down, just hit X. Keep on doing it until your
line is full. You can do this while you're playing too.
Super Stats
Create a player with the name Joe Sakic. Keep the stats
and return to the previous screen and change the name if you want
Penalty shot glitch
If the other team gets to take a penalty shot, hit the line change button right
away. Choose a line. When the player goes onto the ice to take his penalty shot,
you'll have five guys on the ice to take him out.
Enter the create-a-player screen and enter "Sandis Ozolinsh" as a name. Answer "Yes" to use his ratings, then adjust them as needed. Return to the previous screen and change his name to your choice, but do not change any other setting
Super goalie
Enter the create-a-player screen and enter "Patrick
Roy" as a name. Answer "Yes" to use his ratings, then set the
following attributes to get an overall rating of 97:
- Speed: 99
- Poke Check: 99
- Puck Cover: 99
- 5 Hole: 99
- Def. Awareness: 99
- Off. Awareness: 99
- Speed: 99
- Recovery: 99
- Agility: 99
- Glove Left: 99
- Glove Right: 99
- Stick Right: 65
- Stick Left: 99
- Aggressiveness: 99
- Endurance: 99
- Intensity: 40
- Poke Check: 99
Pause game play, select "Controller", then choose the opposing team. After entering the team's menu, change the goalie to "Pull", then press Start. Wait a moment, then press Start and return to the control selection screen. Move back to your original team and press Start. After entering your menu press Start and the opposing goalie will be gone.
Regain health
After a player is injured or suspended, allow the game to complete.
Select "Injury Report", then exit the screen. Keep entering and
exiting the "Injury Report" screen until your players have
regained their health.
Different jerseys
You will be prompted for a type of jersey just before a game. Select
"Home" for the team's white jersey, "Away" for the
color jersey, "Alternate" for the team's third jersey (if
available), or "Inaugural" for the team's old jersey (if
available).
Fights
When in a fight and player two does not fight back, you will get the
five minutes major and they will get the two minutes. To avoid this, press
Start to switch controllers to use their team and force them to fight back

Mighty Ducks for Seleene Karia
Stacked Team
Go to the create player menu type in the name of any original player in
the game (The best one you can think of) it will ask you a question answer
yes. The player will have the same numbers as the original. Then you trade
for better players or just stack your team without trades.
Laughing
