Buying Players:
1. Always look for free transfers by buying 'out of contract' players, there are some real bargains out there. English players are better than European
players generally I find.
2. Always start your bid low because other teams will nearly always compete with you for the
player so get ready to negotiate.
3. Use the search facility to pinpoint the exact player who you want in your team, you can then add players to your shortlist for later.
Selling Players:
1. You will always get bids for your transfer listed players within a few weeks but don't rush to sell them because more teams may join the bidding to
offer you more money. Always accept the highest offer once they have stopped competing.
2. After buying 'free' players you can put them up for sale the next season. This is a good way of making easy money especially if the players have a
high value.
3. Sell players in your squad if you're not going to use them, often you'll be surprised how much
they're worth, you can then build up money for a better first team player doing this.
Your Team:
1. Always check the player's overall rating but also look closely at their form level for the season, if it's low then substitute the player.
2. Always choose players who score goals for you, leave out strikers who don't score many goals.
3. Make sure you have enough depth in your squad so that if injuries occur you have cover. Remember you can loan players if you are in desperate need
for a few weeks.
4. It's best to have a young squad of players rather than older players because they hold their value well and are not likely to retire.
Winning Your Matches:
1. Fiddle with your formation till you get it right, 4-4-2 works well in most games but if you're hanging on to a lead try 5-3-2 to keep the
opposition out and play deep, equally if you need a goal try 3-4-3 for a more attacking strategy and push your players forward.
2. Choose your match tactics carefully. I find the long ball (direct style) effective, yet the passing
game hardly brings any goals so find a tactic which works for you and stick to it.
3. Watch your matches all the way through if possible and observe which players are playing well and those who aren't, also check the bar ratings at
the end of each game.
4. Hire the best coaches to train up the squad, they're expensive but well worth it in the long run.
Finances:
1. Always try and keep at least £500k in the bank if you're in a low division, then about £2m as you get higher in the leagues because the bills
increase.
2. Avoid loaning from the bank, this can get you in a mess if you're not careful.
3. To save money don't employ lots of staff, just go for the coaches, 1 scout and a physiotherapist, you won't need an assistant manager or a
commercial manager once you know what you're doing.
Ticket Prices:
1. If you are a successful team then put your ticket prices up by all means but not too high or you may turn the fans away, just put them up enough to
get a bit of extra income per week.
2. If your team is struggling then set the prices fairly low otherwise fans will see no point in coming to the games. especially the league games.
Tip
To make sure you get the player you are after without using any cheats make sure
you offer 1.5 times what the player is worth.
