Finish story mode on easy difficulty.

Play as AMX-002 Neue-Ziel
Finish story mode on normal difficulty.

Play as Psycho Gundam Mk III
Finish story mode on hard difficulty.

Play as 0Z-15 AGX Hydra Gundam
Finish story mode on hard difficulty level without continuing

Play as Gundam
Finish story mode with the GP02A after beating Gundam.

Play as New Gundam
Finish story mode with the Zaku II after beating New Gundam.

Play as Ball:
Finish the game with all twelve mobile suits.

Play as Char Aznable's Red Zaku II
Press L1 four times, R1 four times, L1, R1, L1, R1, L1, R1, L1, R1 at the main menu.
Select versus mode, then keep pressing Right at the character select screen.

Unlock Tallgeese III (Street Mode)
Finish Street Mode using Wing and Deathscythe in Normal mode.

Get Char's Zaku II
To get General Aznable's personal Zaku II, you must start the game. After the announcer says "Gundam Battle Assault," press LEFT, UP, RIGHT, DOWN, SQUARE, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE. You will hear a noise confirming entry. Char's Zaku and Char are now available in Versus Mode. Note: You cannot save the Zaku; you must enter the code every time.

Play as RX-78-2 Gundam
Complete story mode under any difficulty level then complete story mode again as any Gundam except Z-Gundam and Ac Guy.

Play as V-Gundam
Complete the game as Aguie under the hard difficulty setting.

Special attacks
Press Down, Forward, Down, Forward, Square with any character to do their special attack
