When you're playing you have to pause the game when the red indicator on the
lower-right side of the screen (the winds rose) is between West and
south...surely you'll double your points...winning an object very useful for all
last weapons
Always win at roulette
The following trick allows you to win the roulette game
every time in the casino on the Zelbess. When the pointer begins to spin and the
red tip is in between the west and the south points of the roulette wheel, pause
the game. Then, repeatedly press Circle and resume the game. It will land on
north every time, giving you double the money you wagered.
Easy way to beat Dario
This is a very easy way to beat Dario and get Serge's
most powerful weapon. First you have to go battle the Black Dragon and use Fargo
to steal the armor called the "Black Plate". Next equip the black
plate on Serge after having beat all of the other dragons except for the White
Dragon. To be able to fight Dario you have to battle Peppor and Solt where Garai
once was. After the battle they give you an item used to make Dario regain his
memory. One you have the item (again make sure that you have the Black Plate on
serge, and Riddle in your party) go to the tiny island to the northeast of the
big island called the Forbidden Island. Go in the hut and then battle Dario. The
battle should be semi-easy as all of Dario's magic when cast at Serge will heal
him. Once the battle is over you should receive the Masamune. Side Note: Dario
has about 3800 hp.
How to get the Chrono Cross
To get the Chrono Cross go to Dragon Falls (Another)
and use the two blue crystals pieces. Its only purpose is to get you the best
ending.
Get All Characters
Once you've beaten the game, use new game+ and play
through until you get the Chrono Cross again. Next, go to Spriggan's home
dimension using the portal in the Hidora Swamp and use the Chrono Cross as soon
as you get there. You will get all your characters back from your previous saved
games.
How to get the moon glass's
After getting Glenn into Termina, move him and another
party member (I used Guile) to hermit's hideaway, and there you'll fight Harle.
When the battle begins, hit her with every white element you have, "X
strike" is nice here, but the point of the matter is to kill her before she
use's "Moon Beams", if you do this, you get the Moon Glass's when you
defeat her. They half all physical damage.
How to beat Dario w/o any special equipment
All you have to do is have enough IceBlast elements to
equip on every slot of each characters element grid, then use whatever attack
combo you prefer, then use your strongest available IceBlast. This causes Dario
to use Weaken, which takes up his turn. You can just keep doing this until Dario
is defeated, without having one HP taken away from any of your party
members!
How to get Harle permanently
To get Harle permanently without losing her... do the
following: Beat the game three times getting each set of characters (Guile,
Nikki and Pierre). Don't forget to alternate in saving and not saving Kid.
Remember to beat the game with Harle in your party. This means you have to beat
the game before you lose her. The forth time you beat the game, use the Chrono
Cross and you'll get Harle back permanently!
Treasure Chest Trick
Throughout the game, especially in the Viper Manor,
there are many decoy treasure chest which are actually enemies. When you
encounter them they tell you, you only have "one chance" to attack the
correct one to receive the prize they have. All you have to do to ensure
yourself the prize is to randomly attack one. If you do not choose the right one
the first time, just "run away" and repeat. You can do this as many
times as you want at no cost.
Safe Bet On Roulette
I recommend you practice this first before you go and blow all of you dough.
Start with small bets and work your way up to the bigger sums of money. At the roulette table in the Zelbess Casino you can cause the pointer to land on
north every time by following the steps below. As the pointer is spinning PAUSE the game while the
pointer is between the South and West positions on the wheel. Now press and hold
the Action button (X) and the pointer will land on North every time. Now, Bet the Farm! And reap the treasures of a cheater.
Alternate Ending
Another ending to this phat game can be seen by killing the Time Devourer
right after Terra Tower is raised. In my opinion, it's not as raw as "Evil
Wins", but watching the demi-humans revolt and reclaim the El Nido islands
from the humans is humorous.
Mix Special Skills
In chrono cross you can mix the special skills of some of your characters.
Doing so is relatively easy, but something that doesn't usually come to
mind. The thing to do is to have two matching characters together in battle
and charge up both of their power levels by attacking, but not using
elements. Now that both of their special skills are active at the same time
access the element list of either character and the combo element will replace
the normal skill.
An example of this is using Glenn with Serge and charging up both the
"Dash&Slash" and the "Dash&Gash" to unlock a Red
"X-Slash". With this skill they both dash at the enemy and do Major
damage, comparatively. There is also a "Double Take" for when both
stealing abilities are charged up at once. Try out other combinations and see
what you get.
Karsh's Treasure
While your in Vipor Manor near the beginning of disc one you'll come across a
room with Karsh and a treasure chest. When you try to open it Karsh says
"Don't!", so of course try again, and again etc. Eventually he'll
start counting the number of times you've tried and once he reaches twenty he
lets you have it (the chest contains a Dragoon Gauntlet which raises your attack
power).
Extra Money
When you wake up in Serge's house, immediately look under his bead. You'll find
his secret stash of 200g
Duplicate items and elements
Step 1: Complete the game, but keep a file that you can
complete the game from (this must not be a "Continue+" game).
Step 2: Save your progress from completing the game to a separate file and
"Continue+" the file near the end.
Step 3: Complete the game with the "Continue+" file, but make
absolutely certain you still have the file near the end.
Step 4: Save the "Continue+" data over the old data that let you
restart your game and repeat steps 2 to 4 as needed. If done correctly, you
will have twice the amount of everything in your inventory, including your
elements, weapons, (basically everything except your key items).
This is a very good trick for making rainbow weapons and
armor near the end. Since you can keep repeating this you can, if you have the
time, end up with 99 of every item/element in the game
New Game+ feature
Successfully complete the game, then load the saved
game. This will give you a "New Game+" feature. This game allows
access to your old level, elements, and summons.

Infinite money, Dragoon's Glory's, Viper's LvL 7
Tech Skill
After Serge is reborn, visit Termina (Home World)
with Viper in your party. Talk to the barmaid, go into the back room, and
examine the flag on the back wall. Viper will talk briefly about the flag and
then take his LvL 7 Tech Skill, "FlagBearer" and a Dragoon's Glory.
Exit the room and re-enter. Examine the back wall with Viper still in your
party. Even though there is no flag, Viper will say the same thing that he
said before and will take another "FlagBearer" and Dragoon's Glory.
Repeat this as many times as needed. Each Dragoon's Glory can be sold for
4,000 gold. The stats for Dragoons's Glory is Atk. +3, Hit% +3%, Mgc. +2. You
can also disassemble them for 1 Denadorite, 2 Scale, 2 Fur, and 2 Fang.
Note: A controller with a turbo feature is
needed for this trick. When you meet the man who feeds dragons in a barn, you
can earn prizes depending on how many dragons you feed for him. To feed all
100, set the turbo feature on X and use the D-pad to move back and forth.
Feel elements
Use a Feel element and then use an element that is
opposite of the color of the Feel element to inflict more damage to an
opponent. For example, use Feel Yellow and then use a Green Element.
Summon
The field effect in the upper right corner has to be
all one color to use a summon. For example, to cast a Blue Summon like Frog,
the field effect has to be solid blue.
Get Mojo
In the "Home World", get the shark tooth
from the fisherman. Then in "Present World", show the shark tooth to
the scarecrow (Mojo) and he will join your party.
Get Guile
In Termina, talk to the statue polishing man, then go
to Korcha (boat man). Talk to him and he will tell you to get a person to help
you to get to Viper Manor. Go to the bar and Guile will be the man next to the
locked door. Ask him, or you can get Pierre or Nikki.
Get Kid
After you talk to Lenna, go to Cape Howl. When you
are leaving, Karsh will walk up to you and Kid will appear.
Get Glenn and Macha
Say "No" to save Kid when she is poisoned
and get Glenn and Macha (Korcha mother). Glenn and Serge have an attack
together called "X strike".
Get Lenna
Say "No" after Cape Howl when Kid asks to
join you. Go back and ask.
Give Bellflower to Glenn
Go to the mountain after Cape Howl and walk around
where there is a brown monster. Avoid it and walk to the purple flowers. Get
them, and when you get to Termina, go to where Glenn's brother and father are
buried. He will be there with General Viper's daughter. He will walk up and
ask you to give them for free.
Hydra Humor for Kid
Press Start on the world map and change to "Home
World" from Opassa Beach. Go to Hydra Swamp (dwarves place) to find a
Hydra Humor.
Hint
In Viper Manor, in the battle screen with LI'L BOXER.
When you choose attack, a side box appears that describes your opponents
stat's. Also in this box are Male & Female sign's, always attack the
Female and you'll get the prize every time.
Double Inventory:
After you receive the time egg for the first time, save before you fight the
Time Devourer. Make sure you have at least one of everything you want doubled.
Beat the game and then use continue plus and use the 'game save' right before
you fight the final boss, everything will have doubled including elements,
equip. and money. Keep doing this until you have 20 black plates and infinite
rainbow items. Start a new game plus and your party will be fully decked out
with rainbow items and the plates.
The Dragon Feeding Trick:
After you beat the game once and have started a new game, you will have the
Fast Forward/Slow Motion. Hold L2 (which is slow motion) down the entire time
while feeding the dragons. This will cause the dragons to run in slow motion
which will make it easier for you to feed them a 100 times.
Use Weights:
Go to Terminia. (another world) At the spot where Glenn and Riddell are at the
grave site, go into the hut upstairs. The weights are on the floor (No purpose
to this) but if you return after the viper manor (Gump off cliff) and return
to hut, you get Greco (green guy at the beginning of game!)
Get Good Ending:
Follow these steps against time devourer to get the good ending.
Have the Chrono Cross element in your grid (on Serge) in level 2 column. Fill
up everyone's level 1&2 grids with elements of all different colors. Build up
everyone's elemental power to at least 6. Let Time Devourer use an element
then use elements in this order (preferably from your first column to save
element power) Yellow, Red Green, Blue, Black, White (if the boss interrupts
you must start all over). Use the Chrono Cross.
Get the Really Really Bad Ending:
Finish the game once and then play a new game+ (or continue+ but make sure you
haven't defeated the first time devourer yet.) If you chose new game+ you'll
have to play it all over again until water dragon isle turns into terra tower
(Don't go to the tower!) Then use the time egg at the red time distortion at
Opassa beach. You'll come face to face with the final boss, kill him. Then
after that, since you didn't face the first time devourer, you'll see a bad
ending
Dragon Feeding:
Here is another way to feed the dragons in Viper Manor. Ok first chose to feed
the dragons 100 times. Now collect the full amount dragon feed and keep moving
left and right until you run out. Then go back and get more food for them.
Keep pressing circle repeatedly while moving left and right. This will work.
(Note: Some or maybe even all dragons will start to turn different colors. you
know reddish like)
Crososphynx
You can beat the Crososphynx early in the game if you have a rapid fire
controller, some tape or just 2 hours. Equip Serge with the yellow armor and
set your settings to memory and attack the crososphynx every turn. All your
other characters will die quickly but Serge will never die and he will
continue attacking the beast till it dies. This will get you the famed sun
glasses which turns any character into a powerhouse.
Best Ending
After you beat the Time Devourer in all six of his forms, when you fight him
the last time when hes ultimate, use the elements listed below in the exact
order and use the Chrono cross element and you will get the good
ending.
Yellow-Red-Green-Blue-Black-White-ChronoCross
Regular Controller:
When you start keep pressing X while moving all the to the left and all the
way to the right. Every time you get food go get some then keep pressing X
very quickly and you should complete All the Number of times that you can feed
that dragons.
Autofire:
Set the controller on X for it to be turbo (for those that have one and know
how to use it you know what I mean) Then hold X and move all the way to the
left and all the way to the right. Every time you need food go back get some
and continue until you finish 100 times (no need for New game+)
